I didn’t know what to think of this. At first I thought it was sweet, that a child soldier still had time and desire for pretty things. Then I realised he probably took it from someone he either intimidated or killed. Then that that would have been his history without the fairy wings too.
It was a relief to find out that it’s from a film, Johnny Mad Dog. Lessened on reading that the film is fairly accurate and tough to watch. It’s shot in Liberia, with some of the actors being ex child soldiers themselves.
